Interesting Info: Jordin is adept in hunting, fishing, and general outdoors life. He is the first Inuit to play in the NHL and his middle name is reported to mean “Thunder”.

Why Hockeychic (& the South) loves him: Jordin is what the hockey world knows as an “Enforcer”. While not physically overbearing, don’t let his size fool you. He’s a 100% Grade-A mass of liquid fire. He skates well (which separates him from historical 'enforcer', Domi) and uses his speed to slam an opposing player straight into the glass. Toots is always willing to go toe-to-toe with anyone. The boy has moxie and packs enough punch to make even the upper-level fans cringe!

As far as full-on Southern love, helloooo - did you see that up above? If I'm stranded somewhere, this is the guy to have. He hunts. He fishes. He is an adept outdoorsman. Next thing I know, it'll be reported that he's a Nascar fan, too? Whatever, regardless, this guy is the poster boy of Southern hockey and there's not even an issue pronouncing his name!

HockeyChic's Critical Eye: Jordin used to take a lot of PIM (penalty minutes) but it's hard to fault him for doing what we hired him to do. While it hurts when our special teams can't kill off a penalty, Jordin brings a lot of energy to the ice and, when he fights, the crowd (including me!) is on their feet to cheer him on. An obvious fan favorite, Toots has really come into his element with the Predators and is quite a charismatic player. I'd admit, if I have to pick a current favorite Pred, it's going to be Toots, so I'm a little biased. Jordin... hope to have you for a LONG time. (And yes, I've noticed that your PIM are great now - you've turned antagonizer, which I appreciate.)
